The soils and tree nutrition seminar aimed to:
- inform farm forestry stakeholders of the latest research directions in soils and tree nutrition interactions in plantations
- outline the issues involved in obtaining and interpreting nutrient information and the affects of fertiliser applications on soils and tree growth
- share the experiences of plantation growers in applying fertiliser protocols
- provide the opportunity to identify and discuss research priorities in plantation nutrition

Troy Brown, FEA Plantation Research, Lismore. Practical experiences with fertiliser management.
Jon Lambert, Woollybutt Pty Ltd, led a discussion on plantation nutrition research and priorities.
