Reports
The following reports provided important inputs into the strategy development process:
- Victoria's Sustainable Advantage: Recommendations for a new Timber Industry Strategy for Victoria. Authored by the Sustainable Timber Industry Council and based on extensive stakeholder consultation.

- Market Opportunities for Victoria's Forestry and Forest Products Sector from Emissions Trading.
In April and May 2008, the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) held round-table meetings with a range of peak industry, environment and other stakeholder organisations to discuss issues that are important to the development of the strategy. DPI also called for written submissions on one or more of the topic areas included within the scope of the strategy.
