Pests, Diseases and Weeds
Pests, diseases and weeds threaten the diversity and productivity of Victoria’s fisheries. We should all be aware of our roles and responsibilities in stopping their spread.
There are restrictions on the possession and movement of noxious species. However, Noxious Aquatic Species permits can be obtained for specific activities.
If you believe you are eligible for a permit, contact our customer service centre on 136 186. If you suspect someone of keeping or selling noxious species, contact the fisheries offence reporting line on 13FISH (13 3474).
