Fisheries
in Victoria
Victoria’s fisheries are diverse and geographically extensive, including productive coastal, bay, inlet and freshwater fisheries where commercial, aquaculture and recreational fisheries occur.
Our management of fisheries is focused on securing a high quality natural resource base for the long term, as well as generating economic and social benefits in our communities. We aim to secure, share and grow our fisheries resources in an ecologically sustainable way for now and the future.
