Second International Symposium on the Sustainable Use of Low Rank Coal
The second International Symposium on the Sustainable Use of Low Rank Coal was held in Melbourne from 16 - 18 April 2012, attended by 300 delegates from 23 countries.
The Symposium focused on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the low rank coal industry globally, including streams dedicated to finance, community engagement and technology.
First International Symposium on The Sustainable Use Of Low Rank Coal
The first International Symposium on the Sustainable Use of Low Rank Coal was held in Melbourne, in April 2010. It was attended by 154 local and international delegates, from 16 of the major low rank coal producer and user regions who provided a snapshot of their current industry status, and identified future challenges and opportunities for their respective regions. The Symposium provided a forum for an exchange of information and promoted awareness of the issues faced by the low rank coal industry. Leading experts presented on the technological developments to drive a low emissions future for the industry.
All-Energy Australia Exhibition and Conference
All-Energy Australia, was the biggest, most successful clean and renewable energy event held in Australia in 2012, attracting 4,700 people over two days on 10 and 11 October. The number of delegates in 2012 was up from 3,600 in 2011. 270 exhibitors representing 16 countries took part in the Exhibition. The Victorian Government was once again the principal sponsor of All-Energy Australia 2012, which has been held in Melbourne since 2009.
The fifth All-Energy Australia event will again be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9 - 10 October 2013.
