Tackling climate change requires a major effort from every front. Households make a significant contribution to our carbon pollution, using about 36% of the total amount of energy consumed in Victoria.

Actively reducing the amount of energy we use and making our homes and workplaces more energy efficient will not only reduce our carbon emissions, bit it will help keep energy costs down.

There are many ways households, businesses and the community can take action to cut their energy use and reduce their power bills, and some government support available to help.

Support to become more energy efficient includes:

• Taking part in the Energy Saver Incentive
• Making the most of rebates
• Feed-in tariffs for excess renewable electricity you feed-in to the grid
  

You can help save energy in your home, and reduce your electricity bills, by using more efficient appliances and by better understanding your energy use. Making sure that your home is well insulated is another way to reduce energy use.
