(This notice is not required for low impact exploration)

I/we the holder/s of the above exploration/mining/prospecting/retention licence give notice that after 7 days (21 days for an area work plan), I/we intend to commence work on the land covered by the licence.

I/we have complied with the following requirements under the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 to carry out work on the land:

  • I/we have an approved Work Plan registered on
  • I/we have lodged a rehabilitation bond of $10,000 (or other amount if for MIN/PL/RL) OR
  • The rehabilitation bond of $10,000 (or other amount if for MIN) is enclosed
  • I/we have a public liability insurance policy for at least $10 million ($5 million for Gypsum mines)
  • For work on private land I/we have the written consent of the owners and occupiers or we have registered compensation agreements with them.
  • For work on Restricted Crown land we have obtained s44 Ministerial consent via Parks Victoria.
  • I/we have given 7 days notice (or shorter by agreement) to the owners and occupiers of the land on which I/we intend to do work, including the regional Crown land manager in the case of Crown land.
