Neuarpur GSPA is divided into two zones:

The key groundwater observation bore in the area is bore number 51845. Hydrographs of groundwater levels from dry conditions are provided for this bore on the 'Current Status of Water Resources' pages of Victorian Resources Online.

The boundary of the Neuarpur GSPA encompasses the area of current, and expected future, groundwater extraction from the Murray Group Limestone Aquifer. As such, the PAV boundary covers the area of highest beneficial use (water quality) from the Murray Group Limestone Aquifer.
