Status:

Restricted Weed in the Mallee, North Central, Wimmera, Glenelg-Hopkins, Corangamite, Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West), Goulburn Broken, North East, West Gippsland and East Gippsland CMAs. Declared Weed of National Significance (WoNS).

Habitat:

Prefer tropical and subtropical climates. Found in woody grasslands and savannas. In northern Australia, found in Mitchell grasslands. Occurs on a wide range of soil types (DNRE 2004).
