Serrated tussock, nassella tussock.


Regionally Prohibited in the Mallee, North Central, Wimmera, Glenelg-Hopkins, Goulburn Broken, North East and East Gippsland CMAs.
Regionally Controlled in the Corangamite, Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West) and West Gippsland CMAs. Listed as a weed of national significance (WONS).

Serrated Tussock in the Parwan Valley.
Habitat: Subhumid, subtropical and warm-temperate regions, occurring as a weed in native and introduced pastures and lightly timbered regions. It is not restricted to any soil type or rainfall pattern and is relatively resistant to drought. In South America it is a minor weed invading cleared woodland, ploughed fields and neglected areas (Parsons and Cuthbertson, 1992). Serrated tussock invades dry coastal vegetation, lowland grassland & grassy woodlands, dry sclerophyll forests & woodlands; and rock outcrop vegetation (Carr et al 1992).
