Habitat: | Native of Mediterranean Europe, mainly on clay soils with periodic inundation (Baldini 1993). Usually along rivers and streams, in damp depressions, waste areas, roadsides and cultivate fields in native range (Baldini 1993, Tutin et al 1980). In Victoria, is associated with native and exotic grasses on disused pasture (Walsh and Entwisle 1994). |
