Ivy-leafed Sida (Malvella leprosa) (Nox)

Scientific name: Malvella leprosa (Ort.) Krapov. (Synonyms; Malva leprosa, Sida hederacea)

Common name: Ivy-leaf sida, Alkali sida

Status: State Prohibited weed.

Habitat: Channel banks and irrigated annual pastures, principally on alkaline soils in arid and semi-arid warm temperate regions. In Victoria it is confined to the banks of some irrigation channels, in the Pyramid Hill-Cohuna area, from which it occasionally encroaches into adjoining irrigated annual pastures (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992).
