Common name:

Hardheads, Creeping knapweed, Russian knapweed

Status:

Regionally Controlled in the North Central, Wimmera and Goulburn Broken CMAs.
Regionally Prohibited in the Glenelg-Hopkins, Corangamite, Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West) and North East CMAs.
Restricted in the Mallee, West Gippsland and East Gippsland CMAs.

Habitat:

Semi-arid to sub humid temperate regions where it has become a weed of both irrigated crops, such as vines, and dryland cereals in the 300 - 600 mm annual rainfall belt. It is not restricted to any particular soil type.
