Habitat: | Semi-arid regions in a wide range of soils. In its native South Africa, African weed orchid grows in the Cape Province flourishing from sea-level to mountains 2,000 m high. It is a weed of gardens, open paddocks and roadsides. Favours grasslands, woodlands, particularly disturbed areas (Roberston 1991). |
