Status:

Regionally Prohibited in the Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West), Goulburn Broken, North East and East Gippsland CMAs.
Regionally Controlled in the North Central CMA.
Restricted in the Mallee, Wimmera, Glenelg-Hopkins, Corangamite and West Gippsland CMAs.

Habitat:

Subhumid temperate regions in areas of winter-dominant rainfall with an annual total of 600 to 800 mm (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). It is a weed of rocky hillsides, neglected sites and pastures of reasonable fertility (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992).
