Regionally Controlled - longspine - North Central, Glenelg-Hopkins, Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West), Goulburn Broken, North East and West Gippsland CMAs. Restricted - longspine - Mallee, Wimmera, Corangamite and East Gippsland CMAs. Regionally Prohibited - recurved - Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West) and West Gippsland CMAs. Habitat: | Warm-temperate and subtropical regions - principally in open, warm situations, and on fertile soils (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). Thorn apples are often found on river flats and stockyards and compete strongly with summer crops (Parsons and Cuthbertson 1992). Common thornapple (D. stramonium) can invade riparian vegetation (Carr et al 1992). |
