Common name:

Amsinckia, Yellow burrweed, fiddleneck, buckthorn, Bugloss fiddleneck.

Status:

Regionally Controlled in the North Central, Port Phillip & Westernport (East and West), Goulburn Broken, North East and East Gippsland CMAs.
Regionally Prohibited in the Glenelg-Hopkins, Corangamite and West Gippsland CMAs.
Restricted in the Mallee and Wimmera CMAs.

Habitat:

Temperate regions on a wide range of soils in moderately warm, unshaded situations. They occur as weeds of cereal crops, lucerne, degraded pastures, roadsides, lowland grassland and grassy woodlands, particularly in dry, sandy areas.
