Habitat:

This species native range in Sth Africa is restricted to moist montane forests (Bossard, Randell & Hoshovsky 2000). Reported to potentially invade Coastal vegetation, heathland and heathy woodland, sclerophyll forest and woodland, riparian vegetation and warm temperate rainforest (Carr, Yugovic and Robinson 1992). In California along with similar vegetation types mentioned above, this species had been reported in grassland and seasonal wetlands (Bossard, Randell & Hoshovsky 2000).
