Lagoon Saltbush

General Description:	Low annual forb, with rigid ascending stems to about 40 cm high. Leaves oblong or obovate and rounded at the apex and 2 – 7cm long, green above and mealy white below, the margins coarsely toothed. Flowers monoecious, the females numerous, clustered in the lower leaf axils. Fruiting bodies are numerous, in dense auxiliary clusters, 2 – 4 mm long, with a broad triangular lobe at the apex and two or more irregular teeth on each side, the swollen base the first part to harden as the fruit ripens.
Distinguishing Features:	Very similar to Muellers saltbush
Occurrence	Found in a wide range of situations on most soil types, including saline areas, usually in disturbed areas, along roadsides or in weak pastures.
