Catchment Condition Indicators
As part of an Integrated Catchment Monitoring and Assessment Strategy the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is developing a set of Catchment Condition Indicators for regular comparative reporting.

The Index of Stream Condition has been developed as a tool to aid waterway managers, by measuring a stream's change from natural or ideal conditions.

This site provides information about DSE's freshwater ecology research; including flow assessment, fish ecology and conservation biology, macroinvertebrates, water quality, aquatic ecotoxicology, fishway design, and aquatic taxonomy.
