"Werribee Plains - A Vision for Sustainable Growth" (external link) is a new Victorian Government project with the potential to transform Melbourne's west into an internationally renowned green region recognised for sustainable environmental development. It will provide a framework to encourage and promote opportunities for sustainable agriculture, industrial and urban development, sustainable management of natural resources (such as energy, water and ecosystems) and new clean technology-based industries in Melbourne's west.
