| Regional Development | Agriculture

Future development potential exists to invest in the natural resources of the North Central region. This includes various cropping opportunities, horticulture, viticulture, dairying, livestock and plantation/farm forestry. Before making a decision regarding investment in these resources it is important to understand existing landuse, soil management, surface water and groundwater characteristics and associated issues. It will also be useful to consider the availability and likely cost of acquiring agricultural property throughout the catchment.

General statewide information relating to investing in natural resources, including links to farmer services, agriculture notes, and industry specific information is also available within the farming and agriculture pages in the DPI website.
