Development Opportunities in Agriculture
There is significant potential to further develop the North East region’s natural resources in a sustainable manner. Specific agricultural industries that would lend themselves to such development include:
- Intensive horticulture, including wine and grape production
- New and emerging industries, such as peppermint oil crops
- Quality assured production of export and domestic market food
- Agribusiness development
