Earth Resources Community Engagement Strategy

The Earth Resources Division's Community Engagement Strategy (PDF 478KB) has been developed to ensure that we remain responsive to community expectations. The four year strategy aims to embed community engagement into the core responsibilities of the Division and to encourage the earth resources industry to work better with their communities. Our community engagement vision is about community, industry, and government working together to achieve the sustainable development of Victoria's earth resources in an informed, transparent and fair manner. We recognise that sound community engagement is a vital part of resource development. The strategy is important to us because it is a key reference document to guide our activities, informs our annual and longer term business planning processes and complements the 'social licence to operate' conditions in legislation.
