Expansion of the marine and fisheries education programs through the Marine Discovery Centre

The Government has committed $1.2million over four years to expand marine and fisheries education programs through the Marine Discovery Centre at Queenscliff. A review of existing programs and educational opportunities for schools and community groups will be integrated into existing regionally based fisheries educational programs. To September 2008: A new Centre Manager has been appointed to oversee day to day operations as well as the expansion of the marine and fisheries education programs. The Marine Discovery Centre website has been updated to ensure enhanced information is available to all users online.
