Measures, Rulers, Pocket Cards, Posters & Stickers
To help recreational anglers comply with catch limits, particularly minimum legal lengths, the Department has produced a range of plastic measures, stick on rulers and pocket cards (including Know Your Limits), which complement the Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide.
Measures
Recreational fishing measures for abalone, rock lobster and spiny freshwater crayfish are free of charge and are available at some fishing tackle stores that sell recreational fishing licences. They can also be obtained from regional Department of Primary Industry (DPI) offices or by ringing the Customer Service Centre on 136 186.
Note: You must carry a device for measuring abalone when fishing for abalone. Refer to the Victorian Recreational Fishing Guide for more information.
