10Making it Happen in Your Community - "The Hyden Township Story" Presented by Jane Mouritz
Jan and her family live and work on their wheat and beef cattle property east of Hyden in the eastern wheat belt of WA. Jane supports projects that improve rural people's quality of life and provide better access to facilities and services in rural communities. Jane was awarded 2001 Outstanding Rural Leader of the Year. In 2003 she received an Australian Centenary Medal for services to rural communications.
