Meat Industry Strategy

The meat industries, including the beef, veal, lamb, mutton, pork, chicken meat and egg industries, are major contributors to the Victorian economy. In 2002-03, and during a major drought, the combined gross value of these industries in Victoria was over $2.2 billion, second to dairy as the State's most valuable agricultural industry.
