Mercurio's Menu

The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) is proud to have sponsored the first series of Mercurio’s Menu, which showcased the quality, abundance and diversity of food and wine from some of Victoria’s most passionate producers.

The series was a huge success, with a staggering 11 million viewers tuning in to the show. Television ratings across Australia for the Victorian episodes have exceeded expectations, with an audience reach of 895,000 viewers for the Bellarine episode, 1,016,000 for the Yarra Valley episode and 875,000 for the North-East episode.

Negotiations are now underway for DPI sponsorship of the second series, which will feature the Mornington Peninsula and Gippsland regions of Victoria.

DPI enables our primary industries to maintain and enhance Victoria’s reputation for world-class food by sustainably increasing wealth, employment and investment in regional communities.

Victoria is Australia’s largest food and fibre exporting state, accounting for 26 per cent ($6.88 billion) of the national total.
