The Food Trail

The Food Trail, sponsored by DPI, took viewers on a journey around Victoria and celebrated the quality, abundance and diversity of food from Victorian producers. The six-part series, first shown on Channel 7 in February and March 2006, was such a hit with viewers it was repeated twice throughout the year.

Host, self-taught chef and epicurean Paul Mercurio visited provincial areas around Victoria and gathered the best produce in the region, which he then took to local restaurants and, with guest chefs, created mouth-watering dishes.
