Feed-in Tariff Modelling Reports
The following documents were prepared or commissioned to assist in the development of the Victorian premium solar feed-in tariff scheme. The documents have been published here to provide the public with background on the information that helped shape the final scheme design.
Firecone Report (PDF 445KB) on options to increase the uptake of small-scale solar power by Victorian households – April 2008. This report was commissioned by DPC to provide options for consideration by the State Government on how to boost the uptake of small-scale solar power. It included consideration of a feed-in tariff scheme.
McLennan Magasanik Associates (MMA) modelling report (PDF 284KB) - Benefits and Costs of the Victorian FIT Scheme – August 2008. This report was commissioned by DPI to assist the State Government make an informed decision on the most appropriate Solar Feed-In Tariff Scheme for Victoria.
Revised MMA modelling report (PDF 312KB) November 2008 and related spreadsheets (PDF 251KB). These documents were commissioned by DPI to provide additional information on defining who should be eligible for the scheme and the most appropriate solar PV system size limit.
PricewaterhouseCoopers spreadsheets (PDF 115KB) was commissioned to assist with the Business Impact Assessment - September 2008. These spreadsheets were developed to set out the impact of the different models proposed for a Victorian Feed-in Tariff Scheme to assist in the development of a Business Impact Assessment (BIA). The specific purpose of a BIA is to inform Cabinet about the consequences of a legislative proposal and therefore it is a confidential document.
