Region Overviews
Located in the south-east corner of the mainland, Victoria is one of eight Australian states and territories. Although small in size, Victoria's rich soils and temperate climate make it a very productive agricultural area, generating one quarter of Australia's food exports.
The following series of fact sheets explore Victoria's regions. The fact sheets provide information about the agricultural industries in these nine Victorian regions, including statistics on the value of agricultural production and details of agriculture related industries, including food processing. The regions’ natural resources, population and infrastructure are also outlined, which help to provide a complete representation of the region.
