Photograph of vegetables at marketVegetable production is a key industry in Victoria. The state produces a wide range of vegetables, and is the largest producer of mushrooms, asparagus and broccoli.

To assist growers, DPI provides a range of information on vegetable production, including advice on how to grow, irrigation, soil health, and pests, diseases and weeds. DPI also conducts and supports research into many horticultural crops.
