Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1992
OFF LABEL USE OF VETERINARY CHEMICAL PRODUCTS
The Governor-in-Council under Section 25A of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Control of Use) Act 1992 makes the following Orders.--
- A person must not formulate, dispense or use as an injection a veterinary chemical product that is registered for only oral or topical use.
- 2 A person must not administer a veterinary chemical product to cattle, sheep, pigs, or chickens (Gallus domestica) other than in accordance with the product label unless--
(a) the person is a veterinary surgeon: or
(b) the administration has been authorised in writing by a veterinary surgeon; or
(c) the dose rate is less than that stated on the label for that particular species and for that particular use.
