AGRICULTURAL AND VETERINARY CHEMICAL (CONTROL OF USE) ACT 1992
The Governor in Council makes the following Order under Section 25A of the *Agricultural And Veterinary Chemical (Control Of Use) Act 1992 in relation to hormone growth promotants--
- It is a condition of the use of a hormonal growth promotant that the user, at the time ofadministration, must identify each head of cattle so treated with an ear punch hole in the form of anequilateral triangle with sides of 20 millimetres, unless--
(a) the animal has previously been treated with a hormonal growth promotant and been identified with an ear punch hole in the form of an equilateral triangle with sides of 20 millimetres, or,
(b) prior exemption in writing has been obtained from the Secretary to the Department of Agriculture, Energy and Minerals.
- The Order made under section 25 of *Agricultural And Veterinary Chemical (Control Of Use) Act 1992 on 16 March 1993 and published in the Government Gazette on 18 March 1993 is revoked.
- This order takes effect on 15 March 1995.
*Act No 46/1992. The Act was originally called the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Act 1992 but its name was changed by section 38 of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical (Victoria) Act 1994 with effect from 15 March 1995.
