Before contacting dipping contractors, it will be valuable to have some relevant information ready for them as well as some critical questions to ask to ensure you get what you need.

| What is the cost and what does the cost cover? | How many sheep – and are they in one location for dipping? |
| What insurance cover do you have? | When were the sheep shorn? |
| What is the daily expected throughput? | Details on water, power and labour supply? |
It is now illegal to use diazinon for jetting or dipping sheep unless you have a permit from the APVMA and you are using specialised cage dipping equipment. For more information go to diazinon and dipping/jetting sheep.
