Other Animals and Livestock

Photograph of goats in a paddock with a horse in the backgroundA number of animals – other than sheep and cattle – are kept  or farmed in Victoria.  These animals play a large part in Victoria’s  agricultural industries, producing a diverse range of goods, including meat,  milk, wool, honey and eggs. Others, such as horses and working dogs provide  companionship or assistance.

DPI provides information around animal and livestock production,  regulations, health and welfare and emergencies.
