Future Farming Events
Helping farmers navigate global trends, opportunities and innovations Leading local, national and international figures came together to help increase Victorian farmer’s understanding about some of the key factors that drive the agricultural sector.
Four Our Farming Future events were held across Victoria to offer farmers an insight into current international trends and to help identify opportunities to increase sales or the value of their produce.

David is a frequent keynote speaker at major national and international food industry seminars and conferences around the globe. David is a long-standing Board Member of BerryGardens Limited, Europe's largest fresh berry marketing organisation. David has lived and worked in Europe, North America, where he developed and grew a hydroponic fresh produce business, Africa and South East Asia. Currently, he advises senior management of food and drink companies around the world on global industry developments and implications for their businesses.

Mick is Executive Director of the Australian Farm Institute, an independent policy research institute established to conduct research into public policy issues impacting on the Australian farm sector, and to promote policy solutions that maximise the economic and social wellbeing of farmers. Mick grew up on, and continues to be involved in, a mixed-farming enterprise based in southern NSW. He is a well-known and respected personality in the agriculture industry who has strong opinions on the future of the sector in Australia.

Paul established Emergent Futures Pty Ltd as a consulting company combining his long experience in business with his training as a futurist to assist organisations and individuals in the creation of strategy. Paul started out his working life as a dairy cattle veterinarian in Northern Victoria, in Australia and has since had significant business experience in starting businesses from scratch, establishing joint venture businesses, and serving on a number of company boards. Paul provides tailored presentations for conferences, workshops and other events that are deliberately designed to provoke and challenge thinking.
