Future Farming

Future Farming delivers new support and services designed to help farm businesses and rural communities make decisions about their future, and meet the challenges of uncertain prices and demand, climate change and competitive global markets.

Farm Monitor Projects

The Farm Monitor Project first began 40 years ago analysing farms around Hamilton in South West Victoria. This grew to comparing farm businesses throughout the South West. Six years ago the Sheep Farm Monitor Project was developed to look at initially wool and then both wool and prime lamb production across Victoria.

AgFutures

AgFutures aims to assist farmers and farming communities make sense of the changes that will affect agriculture in the future and enable better long term decision making.

Streamlining and Property Management Systems

The Streamlining and Property Management Systems Project investigated incidences of red tape or blockages to the progress of planning applications for farm development and enterprise change activities.
