Seasonal and climate risk information for the dairy industry

Climate Dog Indy

Belinda Carlisle’s 1990 hit song ‘Summer Rain’ sure seems appropriate given the widespread summer rain we’ve received across Victoria’s dairy regions. For some there may have been dancing, but for others it may have sprinkled a few challenges on farm heading into this autumn. Many regions in northern Victoria received highest on record summer rainfall and have been impacted by flooding. Summer weed problems have emerged which may present some issues for autumn sown pastures.
