How Now Gippy Cow reader survey
Thank you to the 162 readers who responded to the survey. Following is a summary of the results.
- The respondents included 61 per cent dairy farmers, 30 per cent service providers and 9 per cent others
- 95 per cent of respondents thought that the length of the newsletter was just right
- More than 50 per cent of respondents found each of the main sections of use to their business with a range of 53 per cent for coming events to 78 per cent for dairy management technical articles
- 73 per cent of respondents said they had attended dairy activities as a result of reading about them in the newsletter
- 74 per cent rated How Now Gippy Cow at 7 or above out of 10 on how useful it is for their business, 20 per cent rated the newsletter between 5 and 7, only 6 per cent rated the newsletter at 5 or less out of 10
- 87 per cent of respondents preferred a regional newsletter to state wide
- 70 per cent preferred a monthly newsletter rather than bimonthly or quarterly
- 80 per cent preferred a hard copy newsletter, while 20 per cent preferred an email or online newsletter
- 52 individual suggestions about how the newsletter could be improved were also submitted.
In the coming weeks GippsDairy and DPI will identify the changes that will be made to the newsletter in response to your suggestions and feedback.
