Gippsland - How Now Gippy Now - March 2010 Edition
Simply Selectabull!
The Dairy Extension Centre (DEC) has just completed two successful SELECTABULL workshops.
SELECTABULL is the Australian Dairy Herd Improvement Scheme web-based tool for dairy farmers and herd improvement organisations.
At the workshops, participants were able to learn how to make genetic improvements by using SELECTABULL to help build their breeding objectives and to simplify bull selection.
More free workshops will be run later this year and registrations of interest are being sought to help plan the best locations for interested farmers and groups.
To ensure that you get maximum benefit from SELECTABULL, DPI officers are also available to help refine your breeding objectives prior to workshops.
