What did Gippsland farmers learn from their bus tour of North East Victoria?
Last year a bus load of East and Central Gippsland dairy farmers toured North Eastern Victoria to see what they could learn about farming in a variable climate from dairy farmers in the North East. Come and hear about what they learnt in an engaging discussion with tour participants from your area and led by John Mulvany and North East DPI Extension Officer Nathan Shannon.
Wednesday 16 March – Orbost Snow Rovers Football Shed, Lochiel Park, Lochiel St. Orbost. Light evening meal provided from 6:15pm. Presentation starts at 7:30pm sharp. RSVP required.
Thursday 17 March – Wy Yung Pub function room, 120 Bullumwaal Rd. Wy Yung. Tea and coffee provided from 10am. Presentation begins at 10:30am sharp. Followed by light lunch. RSVP required.
Thursday 17 March – Conference room at the multi-purpose centre Yarram District Health Centre, 85 Commercial Road (entry from circular drive at front of hospital). Light evening meal provided from 6:15pm. Presentation begins at 7:30 sharp. RSVP required.

Effluent management bus trips
Effluent management bus trips all start at 10.30am with a presentation and discussion followed by a bus trip to visit two local farms.
Buses will return to start points by 2.30pm.
- 1 March, South Gippsland venue is Fish Creek Hall, Falls Road Fish Creek
- 2 March, West Gippsland venue is Poowong Football Club Rooms, Drouin Road Poowong
- 3 March, Maffra venue is Macalister Demonstration Farm, Boggy Creek Road Riverslea
