Transport and Care of Livestock

These fact sheets have been developed to provide basic information about the transport and care of livestock and horses purchased from private and commercial sales.

They are aimed at hobby farmers and small land holders and contain information about the transportation requirements of each species, acceptable handling practices and guidelines for the care of livestock once they are transported to their final home. The included guidlines discuss space allowances, shade/shelter requirements, feed and water requirements, as well as property and stock identification requirements.
