The Port Phillip Bay recreational fishing reefs were launched in May 2009 with the aim of enhancing recreational fishing opportunities for saltwater anglers.
The three reefs are being scientifically assessed to determine whether they improve anglers' catches.
Monitoring local fish populations and other marine life is also a focus of this trial.
