We design and analyse policies that improve economic performance, and advise on ways to use Victoria precious natural resources to achieve the greatest public benefit.
The Economics and Policy Research publications apply contemporary economic principles to the major resource management issues relevant to the Department of Primary Industries. It is achieved by analysing the advantages and disadvantages of alternative policy approaches. DPI successfully competes for external funds where such investigations would be beneficial to both external funders and DPI.
