Twitter at DPI
Content
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Twitter account is managed by the department’s Communications Division.
If you follow @DPI_Vic you can expect updates to include alerts about:
- new content on the DPI website: www.dpi.vic.gov.au such as media releases, newsletters and publications
- upcoming events.
Following
If you follow @DPI_Vic we will not automatically follow you back. This is to discourage the use of direct messaging, avoid spam handling and so that you can easily identify other key twitter users that we think are relevant to our role in who we follow. However, being followed by @DPI_Vic does not imply endorsement of any kind.
Availability
DPI updates and monitors the @DPI_Vic Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday. Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
@Replies and Direct Messages
We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, and endeavour to join the conversation where possible. However, we will not always reply individually to all the messages we receive via Twitter. Twitter is not the mechanism to make a query, comment or seek further information from DPI. Please direct your general enquires to the DPI Customer Service Centre on 136 186 or via email to customer.service@dpi.vic.gov.au
The DPI Media Team reads all @DPI_Vic replies and direct messages and ensures that wherever possible any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed on to the relevant people within DPI.
