Background to the Awards
DPI is Victoria's largest science-based Government agency and has for many years addressed the innovation and technology needs of the primary industries sector.
Presented since 1992, these Awards recognise the important contribution science and innovation makes towards addressing challenges in Victoria's primary industries.
These annual awards are presented by the Minister for Agriculture and other parliamentary colleagues at a ceremony held in Melbourne. Approximately 200 people from Parliament, industry, regional bodies, the scientific community, and government departments attend the event.
Sponsorship of other awards
DPI is also proud to sponsor the RIRDC’s Rural Women’s Award and the Young Farmer of the Year Award.
DPI award winners
Our organisation, staff, teams and divisions have won a number of external awards. Congratulations go to all our award winners for their achievements.
