Comments from a former VPS graduate
"Participating in the VPS Graduate Scheme provided me with insight into how the whole of government works, the priorities of other government departments, their cultures and how they function differently to DPI.
I enjoyed the responsibility provided to me by the diverse projects that I led on the grad program, as well as the array of people at different levels that I met, and worked with.
The VPS Graduate Scheme has benefited me in my career because it provided me with the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge in diverse projects and showed that I could complete these projects successfully.
Since finishing the program in 2007, I now lead a few projects in the Earth Resources Policy Unit at DPI."
[Kate Townsend, DPI Policy Officer]
