Project History
On 4 April 2003 the Minister for Planning determined that an Environmental Effects Statement (EES) was required for International Power Hazelwood's (IPRH) West Field (Phase 2) Project. The project was also a 'controlled action' under the Commonwealth's EPBC Act.

Assessment Guidelines for this EES were finalised and issued in August 2003 following consideration of public comments.
